Mock Tests to Help You Pass Your Wednesbury Driving Test
Driving in Wednesbury and the surrounding areas presents its own set of challenges, but with Rio Driving School, you’ll be fully prepared to handle them with confidence. Our expert instructors have in-depth knowledge of the local roads, including the routes and hazards that often catch learners off guard. By training in the exact areas where tests are conducted, you’ll gain practical experience that directly helps you pass your driving test.
Our lessons are designed to give you hands-on experience in key areas around WS10 and surrounding postcodes that have proven tricky for learners:
1. Right Lane to Turn Right – WS10 9AD – Spring Head; towards Wednesbury High Street
When turning right here, it’s crucial to move into the right-hand lane early. Many learners stay in the left-hand lane and try to cross over at the last moment, which can lead to a fail. We’ll make sure you practise correct lane positioning to avoid this mistake.
2. Start of the Test, Stop at the Junction – WS10 9HL – Exiting Knowles Street
Exiting the test centre, the first junction is a blind one, where you’ll be expected to stop before the turn, even though there isn’t a stop sign. Rushing through this junction can lead to an automatic fail if the examiner has to intervene. Our instructors will guide you to approach this junction safely, ensuring you know when to stop and edge forward.
3. Turn Right, Keep Left and Give Priority – WS10 7RU – Victory Avenue to Dangerfield Lane
When turning right at this junction, it’s crucial to move to the left side immediately after the turn due to a Give Priority sign and a narrow road. Failing to do this can lead to dangerous situations with oncoming traffic. We’ll help you master this tricky manoeuvre, making sure you understand the importance of correct positioning.
4. Give Way on the Roundabout – WS10 8RD – Moxley Roundabout, A41 to Moxley Road
At this roundabout, learners often forget to give way to traffic coming from the left side, rather than the right. We’ll guide you through this roundabout’s specific requirements, so you’re fully prepared for this common challenge during your test.
5. Middle Lane to Turn Right at Asda Great Bridge Roundabout – DY4 7BU – A41 to Great Western Way
When approaching this roundabout, the correct lane can be tricky due to the road markings. Many learners end up in the wrong lane, causing difficulties when exiting. We’ll ensure you practice the proper lane positioning to avoid cutting through traffic, ensuring your safety and a smooth exit towards Dudley.
Passed after lessons with Lee!! He is an amazing instructor, he helped me build my confidence and was so patient. I highly recommend him and would say he is a credit to Rio.
Gary Bennett is what you want in a driving instructor. He takes time with the areas of driving you’re struggling with and allows you to go at your own pace which is priceless when learning something new. He Is always on time if not early, which is a rarity with driving instructors from my personal experience. Always gives plenty of time and options when booking new lessons and is an all round great instructor to use! Highly recommend.
With Gary’s help I passed my test first time, he’s a brilliant instructor. Would recommend to all.
I started learning to drive in November 2023 and passed first test. Gary Bennett enabled me to learn how to drive and helped me gain confidence in my own abilities as a driver. I was able to learn at a steady pace and book a lesson at a time that suited me. I was a very nervous driver when I started but Gary helped me to calm down and when I did get nervous he was friendly and understanding about it all. I would highly recommend Gary as a driving instructor.
Thank you so much Gary
