Rio Driving School began life in 2010 with one lone driving instructor – his name was Paul Fisher. Always seeking out the very best driver coaching, Paul was inspired and trained by one of the most respected driving instructors in the UK – Chris Gilbert, former Police Sergeant Advanced Driving Instructor and Police Advanced Driving Examiner, driving instructor to HRH Prince William and HRH Prince Harry.
After achieving the UK’s highest civilian driving awards, Paul’s success as a driving instructor very soon meant that he was unable to cope with huge demands for his popularity; Rio Driving School needed to expand. One driving instructor soon became three, hence our original ‘Rio Trio’ !
Paul was always very cautious about allowing Rio to grow too quickly. Quality was paramount! Every driving instructor on the team was personally hand-picked by Paul; they had to be very good indeed!
Today the team continues to grow slowly, always being pressed hard to meet the ever increasing demand for our services. Every driving instructor regularly receives extra coaching to keep their skills fresh and up-to-date.
Rio Driving School is noted for being particularly good at helping anxious/nervous drivers. We can also offer therapeutic interventions by trained staff to help with driving issues, such as:
